Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA)
Companies involved in the consigning, carriage, or the related packing, loading, filling or unloading of dangerous goods by road are required to appoint one or more Safety Advisers whose responsibility will be to help prevent the risks inherent in such activities with regard to Persons, Property and the Environment.
The Adviser must attend training, pass an examination administered by the SQA and hold a Vocational Training Certificate. When issued the Certificate is valid for 5 years and can be renewed by passing an examination anytime within the last year of expiry.
DGSA Course Information
This five day on-line course will enable candidates to understand the Chapters of ADR 2023 and the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (GB) Regulations in preparation for the “open book” examinations which are held at designated SQA exam venues throughout the UK at three monthly intervals.
The ADR text is used throughout the training course and test papers are used every day to re-enforce the learning and to ensure course members have a complete understanding of the application of ADR. Following the training additional support is available up to the day before the examination free of charge by telephone and email.

EXAMINATIONS:
Candidates must book their own examinations with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
The cost of the Core, All Classes & Road examinations are currently £285.00 Nil VAT which is payable directly to the SQA.
